CASE STUDYINDUSTRIAL FACILITY — EGYPT

IT Infrastructure & Security Upgrade for an Industrial Facility

Manufacturing / IndustrialEgypt

An infrastructure and physical security project for an industrial facility in Egypt, covering structured cabling, networking, firewall protection, CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, video intercom, and IP telephony as one integrated build rather than separate systems.

Client details are anonymized to protect confidentiality. The technical scope described below reflects the real project.

CHALLENGE

The project needed to deliver unified infrastructure across administrative areas and the industrial machine floor, with separate, secure network segments for data, voice, CCTV, guest access, and access control, instead of a set of disconnected systems.

CNS APPROACH

CNS planned the project as a single integrated infrastructure build: designing the network architecture — including VLAN segmentation for Management, Admin Data, CCTV, Voice, Industrial Machine Floor/Services, Guest Wi-Fi, and Access Control — and building the physical security and communications systems alongside it.

IMPLEMENTATION

How it came together

Network design included VLAN segmentation for Management, Admin Data, CCTV, Voice, Industrial Machine Floor/Services, Guest Wi-Fi, and Access Control.

Planning figures for the security and communications scope included 31 CCTV cameras, 9 IP phones, 4 access points, 3 racks, and 15 days of recording retention — preliminary/planning quantities from the project's planning phase, not confirmed as final installed counts.

The build closed with testing, labeling, configuration, and handover of the completed infrastructure.

RESULT

The facility received a single, tested, and documented IT and security infrastructure — covering data, voice, video, and access control — handed over as one integrated environment rather than a set of separate systems.
